Lunchtime drawing: After living in Woodstock for a few years, Bob Dylan bought this townhouse at 92-94 MacDougal Street and lived there from 1966-67, but New York City (and fame) had changed in the meantime. Lunchtime drawing: 90 and 88 Grove Street, built in 1827 by and for the two masons Henry Halsey and William Banks. Added later is the mansard roof with dormer windows. P.S. Later than lunchtime drawing: The James B. Duke House at 1 East 78th Street, completed in 1912 and funded by a tobacco fortune, is now the classical home of NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts. Apparently architect Horace Trumbauer essentially reproduced the Hotel Lobottiere in Bordeaux, France in his design. By the way, if you’re in NYC…
