Nick’s Lunchbox Service – Daily Drawing Project
December 31, 2019
The ongoing seven-year “Nick’s Lunchbox Service” project is a daily pen-and-ink drawing, posted everyday online since 2014. Photos of these sketches — with surrounding environment in frame and citing significant details about the subject — are posted on Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook. Golebiewski has collaborated with the Jewish Museum, Museum at Eldridge Street and Dyckman Farmhouse Museum with online artist residencies, as well as “Walk & Draw” tours in collaboration with the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation.

1,000 drawings! Wow, this is the one thousandth consecutive daily drawing in my #NicksLunchboxService project, and I chose a place that’s really important to me—the chapel at Greenwood Cemetery, built in 1911 and designed by architecture firm Warren and Wetmore, who also did Grand Central.
Thank you to everyone following along with these drawings, and special thanks to my wife, Joanie (this one’s for you) and daughter, Vera! Number 1,001 tomorrow…
