Later than lunchtime drawing: The James B. Duke House at 1 East 78th Street, completed in 1912 and funded by a tobacco fortune, is now the classical home of NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts. Apparently architect Horace Trumbauer essentially reproduced the Hotel Lobottiere in Bordeaux, France in his design.
By the way, if you’re in NYC stop by my open studio during the Dumbo Arts Festival on Sept 27+28 at 10 Jay Street #303.
