Lunchtime #drawing: The Chestnut House at 3338 Wall Street was built in the late 1860s, and originally fronted on N. High Street, in Clintonville in Columbus, Ohio. The township school across High Street originally did not have running water, so students were sent to get water from the Chestnuts, who always seemed to have cookies baked for the the student volunteers. While making this drawing a resident of the building stopped to take a look and mentioned that ivy used to cover the building but was recently removed to preserve the brick walls.
