5.25.16 Lunchtime drawing: The Desert View Watchtower, built in 1935 and designed by architect Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, is on the National Register of Historic Places. She travelled around the Southwest to research architectural styles for six months (it mimics an Anasazi watchtower) before creating this for Grand Canyon National Park. There’s also a view.…
