Closing out one full year of making a drawing every single day in 2014. Lunchtime drawing: The sunny but cold winter view across Central Park’s reservoir with clouds rolling overhead and the El Dorado building (a recurring subject). Lunchtime drawing: 90 and 88 Grove Street, built in 1827 by and for the two masons Henry Halsey and William Banks. Added later is the mansard roof with dormer windows. P.S. Farewell to Christopher Gray’s Streetscapes column in the New York Times, which is a great read and often comes up in the top results…
