Jane Jacobs turns 100 today! Her ideas about the strength of neighborhoods are relevant to my work today. Now over 850 consecutive daily drawings into my Nick’s Lunchbox Service project, many of those are in historic Greenwich Village, part of what Jacobs fought to save. Thank you Jane!
Also, thank you to everyone on Twitter appreciating the drawing of her building on Hudson Street that was exhibited in my Literary Greenwich Village show earlier this year at the NYPL’s Hudson Park Library, within the neighborhood.
